Racial barriers derive their power when people refuse to talk and instead make assumptions based on stereotypes, media driven narratives, upbringing, certain life experiences, and more. This presentation provides historical perspective and helps encourage needed intercultural dialogue in order for Christian counselors and caregivers to effectively address the issues many communities face today.

Mark Crear, Ph.D. (Moderator) with Sabrina Black, M.A.; Elias Moitinho, Ph.D.; and Bishop Harry Jackson, Jr., M.B.A.
The only way to begin easing the racial divide is to allow the love of God to be the bond that strengthens relationships. The local church can and should play a vital role in leading the way as Ambassadors of Reconciliation. This presentation looks at specific opportunities people of faith have to increase awareness, foster greater dialogue, and engage in proactive efforts to promote healing.
