This course aims to introduce students to common child and adolescent mental and behavioral disorders. Particular emphasis will be placed on risk factors leading to mental disorders. Topics discussed include trauma and adverse childhood experiences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, stress and anxiety, depression and mood disorders, grief and loss, and addiction.
